My sister has 2 pet Rats.
Answers:
They are not necessarily albino. They could be pink eyed whites (PEW), or they may actually have "ruby" eyes. PEW rats are not genetically albino, but look that way. Pink eyes are very translucent looking and have a bit of an iridescence to them. PEW rats that are not albino can have babies that are not white, even if bred with another white rat, because they have color in their genes that is simply not expressed. Also Himilayan and Siamese rats have pink eyes, but are not totally white.
Ruby eyes are darker than pink and are not as translucent. Sometimes they look a bit brownish.
And, of course, they could be albino.

if theyre white rats more than likely theyre albino and theyre eyes will b reddish near the pupil and pink in the part where it should be white for humans..
They are albino. The eyes are red because they lack pigment.
If they have red eyes they must be albino. There eyes are red because they lack pigment.
They are albino rats.
I'm not an expert but I know someone who IS. You could email them at Pet_service@yahoo.ca .Hope they help!
That would be because they are albino having no skin pigmentation or eye colour.
albino animals (and humans) have red eyes because they lack any pigmentation or melinin to color their skin hair and eyes...i knew an albino guy once. he was actually african american.
it all depends on the parents and what they had. i breed rats and i right now have a blue curly coat with red eyes and mom had black eyes and dad had red eyes. the babies usually get the traits from the dad not so much from mom. when they have red eyes it does not mean anything. so don't worry about them they are just fine. good luck
Not only rats have red eyes - guinea pigs can, so can rabbits, hamsters, gerbils... most rodents can have red eyes. It DOES NOT mean they are albino: guinea pigs for one, cannot be albino - they are known as pink eyed whites. Many rodents with red eyes do not have white coats either - they can be any colour.
I dunno if a white rat with red eyes is an Albino though.
some animals(hamsters, wolfs, some cats, owls, and more) have diffrent colered glowing type eyes.this is becuase they are nocturnal.they sleep in the day, they awake at night.these eyes make the animal see clearly at night so its normal for the rat to have red eyes.
ARe they white? Almost all albino tings have red eyes.
its because all living things can have red eyes it means they are albino they are not evil if thats wat your thinking! (lol)
IT BECAUSE THEY DRANK TO MUCH WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG.
they are albino.there are many species of animals that are albino, such as alligators, frogs, koala bears, kangeroos, and hamsters.many more follow.this is caused from the lack of pigment in their genes.
Red eyes are common in albino animals that lack pigment and animals that are a color that is linked to the albino gene.
What makes them red is the lack of pigment - what you are actually seeing is the reflection of light off of the blood vessels in the animal's eye.
The red eyes do tend to be more sensitive to UV light because of the lack of pigment, so remember to always shield the ratties eyes when going outside or travelling!
BECUZ THER EVIL!
well there relly is no reson i mean why do i have green eyes
they are albino(i have 1)
They are albino rats
animals that have red eyes, not just rats are called albinos.
if you mean your rat is actually crying blood this is a disease rats can get and often means they are stressed which can be down to many different problems e.g. the cage is to small e.t.c.
they just do its just a thing that they have and it's natural.. :)
My rat looks like a Siamese cat (coloring) and she has red eyes, I've never figured out why though...
