i can braid a tail, but i really want to know some tips about inproving my skills.

If it's your own horse, monitor to be sure he's not rubbing it. A clean tail is easier to braid, put a container of water in the vicinity & keep damp it down.

like a french braid? since horses enjoy wiry hair in attendance is this stuff that helps generate a braid look like it be done professionally. i use it when i have to put the hunter horses manes and tail up at my barn. it makes the post faster and look more professional. but sadly i can not recall what the stuff is called. I'm going to the barn tomorrow and i could see what it is call for you and tell you after. but right now i can't remember it sorry.
