first of all if you put the cat outside and its not even yours then you better go get it back in before you lose it.bring it in and give it a bath let the water get all over the cat and the water will drown them be prepared with a washcloth because the fleas are going to run for the face and ears once you submerge the cats body into water use the wash cloth to get them off of the face and ears and throw those ones into the water they will drown.use some cat shampoo and trust me the fleas will drown and you may have to bathe more than once to get them all but please bring the poor cat back inside its not his fault and i wouldnt want him to get lost if the baths dont work you can go to petsmart and get some advantage or frontline dont buy any hartz products!
to get rid of the fleas buy hartz 2 in 1 flea and tick killer. to keep the fleas off buy a flea coller and bring the cat back inside.
You will need to go to the vet and get a flea preventative and keep it on the cat monthly. If you are going to let the cat out and not put the cat on a preventative then there is no way to prevent fleas
Well firstly dont take it out on the cat its not his fault,Just go to your local pet shop and get a flea collar ,this will deter the fleas, but also ask them for some front line ,this will kill the existing fleas and stop new ones attaching themselves to him.hope you havnt lost him now.
well no you did not do right how would you like to be put outside for having lice? buy shampoo flea killer kind or buy the collor it works graet good luck and PLEAS LET YOUR CAT BACK IN! GOOD LUCK!!
Go to a local store like Wal-Mart or go to the vet because they all sorts of flea and tick medications. DO NOT PUT YOUR CAT OUTSIDE!! That is not going to help her. Lock her in a secure room with her food, water, and litter box. then talk to your vet. You don't want to get more fleas on her and if you put her outside, the fate will be tradgic. Good luck!!
you need frontline take the cat to the vets and them you buy it from the vets
hi you should not of chucked the cat out its not its fault, just go and buy some flea spray from a local pet shop
Buy a flea collar for the cat and buy flea and tick repellant sprayfor your house. If your cat has it then your house does. Even if the cat has been outside or not cats still get fleas indoors or out because they come in from the windows. So its not the cats fault.
You need to take the cat to the vets straight away, if the cats been living in your home, you'll need to clean wherever its been sleeping, eating, etc to kill the flea's. When you take it to the vets they will probably give it some stuff to get rid of the flea's and most likely some medicine to get rid of any worms it may have, just in case. Hope thats helped.
boil the cat at 100 degrees for ten mins. then move house. problem solved.
poor cat,
get some frontline spot on flea drops, also worm the cat.
you might want to check if the cat is male or female (unwanted kittens)
you can also buy a R.I.P house spray that lasts for a year, you spray all the rooms in your house and as it says all fleas die.
hope this helps

get the drops from the vet, the ones where its a few dabs on the back of the neck they work a treat and but those cheap flea collars out of tesco and cut them up and stuff them down the back of your sofa as the wee buggers can live there to.
Ask a vet about flea repellents. Most kill not only fleas but mites and flea eggs.
First and foremost, you now will have fleas laying eggs in the house, so you need to get rid of them first. Flea bombs do not work. You need a spray that has an insect growth regulator (IGR)in it, my fav is Ectokyl. One can can go a long way and will treat an average size home. Use sparingly and spray EVERYTHING, nooks, crannies, floorboards, basebords, behind drapes, under the couch, etc. After all is said and done, vacuum and toss that bag OUT! You have several options for the cats. You can use a product like Advantage, Frontline Plus or Revolution (available only through a vet). Those are topical and applied every month. For a quick kill of all fleas on the cats, you can give them a tiny pill available from your vet called Capstar. Awesome product, kills the fleas only on the pet, within 30 minutes and last for 24 hours. It's important to protect your cats from future infestations by keeping a preventative on them. Nothing OTC is worth the risk it may pose to you pets. Always get your product from the vet.

Also, because cats are meticulous groomers, the chances of either of them ingesting a flea is very high and fleas carry tapeworm. So, it is best to get a dewormer from your vet for tapeworms, also.
go and buy some frontline from the vets
easy peasy to get rid of animal fleas. go to the local pet shop buy some flea 'juice' (liquid spot on stuff) that will kill all the fleas on the cat. however, you'll probably need to buy some household flea spray for your furniture and carpets.. animal flea eggs can lay dormant in the pile or fabric for up to 3 years apparently and only hatch out when an animal is present. you must spray the whole house where the cat has been and if you have carpet, you must spray right to the edge (up to the skirting board) and under all the furniture. Job done!
remember, it isn't the cat's fault it has fleas. its the owners fault. also it may be worth remembering. if the cat has fleas, it may also have worms.and if you have children or a pregnant partner, that can be very dangerous.
Flea eggs can hang about for years and they can sense that a suitable animal is about before hatching. So give the vacuum a good outing and keep it going, lay a square of aluminium out on the floor and you should hear any flees left. There's a medicine that you apply to the back of the cats neck 'Contact' I think.
the fleas will be in your home, in the carpet in the curtains, cracks in the woodwork etc. Chucking the cat out won't help and if you are supposed to be looking after it for someone, that isn't very responsible is it? If someone who was supposed to be looking after my cat, chucked it outside, I would give them a ruddy big kick in the pants if I found out.
You need to see a vet and get some drops to put on the back of the neck. That will kill the fleas on the cat. You also need to wash all the bedding and spray your home for fleas with whatever the vet sells you.
Never use flea collars and never use flea stuff from the supermarket or pet shop. They don't work and in some cases are downright dangerous and can kill the animal which won't please the person whos cat you are supposed to be looking after.
Buy a flea-bomb for your home to make sure there are no other fleas and try Front Line Spot On treatment for the cat, or a flea collar. Flea collars with make her coat sticky so she may be better off with a flea tablet
You can get some flea sprays from the shops or if you are worried then go and see the vets. They might give you a spray or drops called frontline. Try that to see if it works, cause it worked for my cat.
Bring the cat inside cuz he'll get worse out there. Go to the nearest Vet and buy a tube of flea stuff to put on his back in the middle of his shoulder blades. The vet will tell U where it goes exactly. It works wonderful! Also, try a fea collar.
get front line that will sort out the fleas
petrol and match best way
