My cat is male and he likes to follow me and the bathroom does this happen to anybody?

Our cat will try to turn the doorknob open to get in if we close any doors on him, especially with me. He is my shadow and goes everywhere with me even if it's to bath my loud 3 year old child. He's there despite all the water being splashed around and loud noises going on. Every morning when I wake up, he jumps out of bed and runs into the bathroom with me to sit on my lap. He also reaches up to gently butt his head against mine while drooling. What a way to wake up!
I have 2 female cats that love to be in the bathroom with me. They like to sit on the counter and watch me get ready for work. Sometimes I put "pretend" makeup on them. I think most kitties just want to be near us no matter what room we're in!
My cat is female and spayed, and she hates it when I'm in a room and she can't follow. He just wants to be near you :) When I manage to lock my cat out of the bedroom or bathroom, I always come out to find her sitting outside the door, no matter how long I've been in there.
All the time. If I don't close the door all the way, they push it open while I'm doing my business, lol.
No privacy...anywhere in my house.
All the time. My cat likes to sit on my lap even. Cats get very attached to their owners and lijke to know their owners every move. It's normal.
Well not in a while. Some cats will follow a person almost anywhere. I had an outdoor cat that snuck inside of my mom's car when she was on her way to pick me up from school. Sounds like your cat has a personality!
Hi,

Oh yes, and want lots of attention too. Plus, if I am in the bathtub, she will jump up on the side of the tub and walk back and forth and meow in my face. I flick water at her, but she jumps up 5 minutes later!

Meow!

I am not able to do anything in the bathroom without at least one of my cats trying to get inside. They will stick their paws under the door and wave them around as if they want to remind me that I forgot to let them in as well. My Siamese will paw at the door like a dog. If I let him in, he will sit in my pants while they are down. My Russian blue likes to get up on the counter and sit right in front of the sink while I wash my face or brush my teeth. If I actually go into the bathroom without my little entourage, when I open the door to exit.there are usually 3-5 kitties sitting there waiting, lol. Cats= no privacy, lol.
my mother in law has 18 cats(one just had another litter) whenever she goes to the bathroom, they all have to come. and in the kitchen too! lol but they all come to the bathroom with her, its really cute. buti have no idea why?!
yes its normal my cat will scratch on the door too make me let him in lol i think its because they like being where we are .
Yes mine SITS ON MY LAP OR LOOKS UNDER THE SEAT TO SEE WHATS GOING ON. talk about uncomfortable!!!
When I first got my kitten, she yawled outside the bathroom door if I didn't let her in. And then she always wanted to either stick her head down by my butt to see what was going on, or she wanted to curl up on my lap. It was...odd. But that's why I love cats, because they are so weird.
